Lead 3D Character Animator

We are looking for a senior 3D character animator to lead an animation team in a AA game project. This character game animator will work with rigging, design and tech leads to establish combat and personalities for multiple characters, and lead a team of animation teams in planning, assigning and critiquing work to meet animation milestones. This seasoned game animator should be comfortable pushing assets from Maya to Unity, to review in engine and provide feedback to animators. 

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Create animations of a benchmark quality for the animation team to use as examples of visual and technical quality.
  • Prototype animation systems quickly to use as reference for discussions on gameplay and animation.
  • Work with the project producer to plan the priorities and tasks for the animation.
  • By consistently reviewing work in-engine, you may guide and provide other animators constructive criticism.
  • Learn everything you can about the game’s design objectives in order to provide the greatest caliber animations on schedule and within budget.
  • Participate actively in project management decisions and oversee the necessary changes to enable the animation team to accomplish its objectives.
  • Provide guidance and best practices to the animation team.

Qualifications (must have): 

  • Fluid english. Written and spoken.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in video games animation, with at least one project as the lead animator
  • Background in Keyframe animation, knowledge on stylized animation
  • Able to communicate effectively technical and artistic ideas
  • Maya, Max, or Blender expert
  • Organized, meticulous, and skilled in leading teams and projects with 20+ members
  • A capable team leader with a deep sense of responsibility
  • Motivated and able to prioritize several tasks and take them to completion
  • Knowledge of game design and character movement

Plusses: 

  • Shipped at least one or more AAA game
  • 3rd Person action or combat game dev experience
  • Unity Animation experience 
  • Comfortable with hand keyed stylized animations
  • Strong 3D modeling awareness to provide feedback to modeler and rigger
  • Previous lead role on a shipped title

Senior Network Gameplay Programmer

We are looking for a Senior network gameplay programmer (PC initially, Mobile ancillary) to lead network play for a game that is currently in development. We’re looking for a deeply experienced senior to lead and improve the knowledge of his team to reach the milestones assigned. This seasoned network gameplay programmer should be comfortable working with Unity game engine.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with all the development areas to establish the core gameplay and network systems of the game
  • Coordinate the  schedule programming priorities with the project director, CTO and producer.
  • Prototype and develop systems for gameplay quickly to use as reference.
  • Interface with the game server team to implement gameplay and player systems.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on gameplay and network systems to his team.
  • Knowledge of animation, physics and gameplay code in general.

Requirements:

  • Fluid english. Written and spoken.
  • Experience in different types of networked games. (Online multiplayer videogame genres)
  • Experience with interfacing with realtime network systems like Photon, Netcode for Gameobjects, Dark Rift, Mirror, Fish-net, etc.
  • At least 5 years programming experience.
  • Have production and technology experience that produced a shipped title on PC, current console or mobile platforms.
  • Experience on commercial game engines such as Unity and Unreal.  (Unreal experience a bonus, not initial focus)
  • Experience working in game production pipelines, establishing tools and development. (asset pipeline, exporters, etc.)
  • Able to fill in the gaps in game design specs
  • Understanding when to rapidly prototype and when to rebuild systems from ground up

  • Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and programming languages, such web technology and databases.
  • Interest in Mobile and AR technology and game development.

Senior Server Programmer

We’re looking for a highly talented and motivated Senior Programmer who will lead a growing team for mobile and PC networked game experiences, an experienced network gameplay programmer to work with us in Unity and mobile devices, using tools and tech for rapid development of geospatial game content. 

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team with our engineers, artists and designers to execute projects under the direction of the creative team and project leaders
  • code review
  • Document code, especially for complex technical systems.
  • Implement and optimize game systems, new and existing players that can scale to millions of players.
  • Schedule priorities with the project’s Project Manager
  • Rapidly prototype and develop gaming network systems

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years programming experience on low-level server development.
  • Experience with services such as PlayFab, Google Firebase, AWS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases and Redis
  • Experience on commercial game engines such as Unity, Unreal, as well as custom technology solutions.
  • Experience with C++ and C#
  • Mobile game development experience on Android and iOS
  • Experience working with artists and designers directly in game production.
  • Experience in establishing tool development pipelines (asset pipeline, exporters, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to all levels of engineering

  • Quick and enthusiastic to learn new programming languages and technologies, such as databases and web technology.
